Filmmaker Prakash Jha is currently working on a strong script to make a prequel of his decade long critically acclaimed police drama film 'Gangajal', which was inspired by the Bhagalpur blinding incidents. In addition, he also wants to rope Ajay Devgn to reprise his role of SP Amit Kumar, an honest cop driven to extreme measures by a corrupt system. It is being said that the actor have already given his approval for the film.
The prequel will build up the back story of the central character, before he joins the police force in the crime-ridden Tezpur district. The film will trace back the journey of Ajay's character and will look into the events that made him the man he is, and his life before his arrival in Tezpur.
Well, seems like an interesting storyline! We hope the prequel would also become very much powerful and impressive, like the first part.
