Dreams Recycled, an online marketplace devoted to selling the relics of love now gone, was founded by a woman all too familiar with the difficulties often faced by newly divorced women.

Tiffany Beverlin says it was her own dissolved marriage that inspired her to create the business.

Re-entering the work force proved to be far more difficult than she had ever imagined.

Left with what she felt were no options, she created one for herself.

Beverlin said the business idea came to her in a dream. If she could sell her own wedding ring for cash, why couldn’t she help others sell theirs?

In fact, why stop at rings? She decided to include dresses, china from the registry, crystal…anything wedding-related that will help women put their old lives behind them and fund new ones.

The website also has chat rooms so women can seek advice, tell their stories, and engage with a community of kindred spirits.

Brides-to-be need not worry about getting dresses sullied by iffy mojo. Gowns come with a wish that the, “…item becomes new to you and brings bountiful joy and happiness...”
