China to build world's tallest building in 90 days

A Chinese construction firm has received the green light from the government to build the world's tallest skyscraper. Broad Sustainable Building plans to complete Sky City, a 220-storey, 838-metre-tall building, in just 90 days. Once the building is completed, it will host a school, a hospital, offices, and apartments and hotel rooms for 30,000 people. Residents can take one of 104 elevators or a six-mile ramp curling around the interior to access courtyards with basketball, swimming, tennis, and theaters in this skyscraper city.

The company has a history of fast constructions by building prefabricated parts offsite. It then transports the parts to the construction site and assembles the parts onsite. In 2011, Broad Sustainable Building successfully erected a 30-story hotel in 15 days.
