Justin Carter free on bail 4 months after arrest for Facebook comment

2013-10-14 2

Justin Carter has finally been released from jail, but not because the justice system came to its senses. Rather, an anonymous donor has given $500,000 for Justin's bail bond. Now the teen is able to return home to await his trial for making "terroristic threats" in the form of a comment on Facebook. That comment, made during an online argument over a fantasy video game, was read by humorless police who arrested Justin and subjected him to four months of detention in a facility where he was beaten, and at times kept in solitary confinement in the nude because he was on suicide watch.
