Indonesian officials say a British oil worker who was kidnapped on Tuesday has been found safe. Engineer Malcolm Primrose was returning from an inspection of a drilling rig on the north Sumatran province of Aceh when he and his driver were confronted by unidentified armed men. They fired a warning shot into the air, forcing his driver to stop.

The men tied up the driver before forcing the 61-year-old drilling supervisor into their vehicle and fleeing the scene. The driver managed to free himself and contact police. Indonesian authorities say Primrose, found early Thursday, is in good health.
