Jakarta 11 June (EFE).- (Camera: Paula Regueira).- With 17,000 islands, Indonesia is the world's largest archipelago. From west to east it stretches five thousand two hundred kilometers, a distance similar to that between New York and Lisbon.

Currently, the Asian nation has three time zones, but from next October, the government wants to set up a single official time. The idea is to increase economic efficiency, but the measure has sparked controversy among residents.
