Madrid/Lisbon, 28 June (EFE).- (Camera: Enrique del Viso and Oscar Tomasi).- Some 35,000 screams filled Madrid's main Castellana thoroughfare late Wednesday when Spain's national football team took one step closer to the unprecedented feat of winning three major competitions in four years by beating Portugal on penalties in the Euro2012 semifinals.

The word "azar" in Portuguese means "bad luck", an expression that was on the lips of thousands of fans in Lisbon whose hopes of reaching the Euro2012 final were dashed in the lottery of penalties against Spain.
