Even those who are not allergic to bees may get into potentially life threatening situations in an effort to get away from one.
A woman in Packwood, Washington knows just how dangerous evading them can be after she was run over by her own vehicle. The utterly bizarre incident occurred after the 56-year-old lady, identified as Donna L. Rowe-Breidstein was stung by a bee as she was making her way towards her vehicle.
Breidstein tried to hop into her SUV quickly, however the panicked woman fell to the ground while trying to get away from the bee. Prior to the fall, she must have put her vehicle in gear, because the SUV ran over her leg while she lay on the pavement helpless.
To make the ordeal even worse, the vehicle continued moving down the road until it hit a parked car and finally came to a stop. Breidstein was transported to Morton General Hospital, but later airlifted to a medical center in Seattle.
She was treated for leg and ankle injuries.
