Well, this is embarrassing. See, what happened was, I was originally going to start this movie all the way back in April, right after I finished with Alice in Wonderland. I watched the movie then, and worked on my cast and so forth, and then inspiration struck and I put this set off til now. The important this here is that, unlike nearly all my other sets, I didn't re-watch this movie right before hand like I usually do. I already had my cast worked out.
So I only had a vague recollection that this song existed. Wikipedia wasn't helpful, as for some reason it lists this song as a "Jolly Holiday" music piece, and looking it up on youtube like that didn't fetch me any results. It wasn't until after I started the set and several people left comments about the missing song that I was able to piece together what I'd done wrong. Yay, teamwork!
Anyway, not much to say about this song. I think Pinkie as Bert is the only casting that will be accepted by everyone, and the fact that she clearly had the one-man-band scenes to use at all made it an easy pick. I'm a little miffed about having to use Twilight again, but I didn't have a lot of choice and at least it's just a background role. Bonus points for, after gender-switching all the time for years, I've cast a guy in a girl's role for the first time ever.
I do not own My Little Pony or Disney, but I do have this nice pocket watch. I've had it for as long as I can remember. It doesn't work, though. I sometimes wonder... what it would be like... if I opened it...
