A Russian court has denied bail to three of 30 people being held in custody after a Greenpeace protest against oil drilling in the Arctic.
Hearings for the 27 others, from 18 countries, are due later this week.
All face piracy charges after their ship approached a Russian oil platform last month and some activists tried to scale it.
