Carbon fiber hammock bathtub released in UK

2013-10-08 101

A UK company has come up with a novel bathtub design that can be suspended in the air like a hammock. Called the Vessel, the tub is made of carbon fibre, which has strength and the ability to form complex curves. Beneath the layers of carbon fibre, a foam core is installed in order to insulate the bathtub, keeping the water hotter for longer than normal. The Vessel occupies a space measuring 2.7m by 0.8m. Wastewater is released through the base of the tub directly into a drain on the floor. The company offers the tub in custom sizes and multiple colours.
