Pope holds private audience with U.S. delegation

STORY: American Cardinal Timothy Dolan on Monday led a visit of high-ranking members of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) at the Vatican.

The delegation including the Archbishop of Louisville, Joseph Edward Kurtz, USCCB Secretary General Monsignor Ronny E. Jenkins and Associate General Secretary Monsignor J. Brian Bransfield were given a private audience by Pope Francis.

Pope Francis and his American guests could be seen laughing heartily as they sat around a table for talks.

No details were immediately available of the content of the discussions.
