Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Reloaded for the PlayStation developed by Gremlin Interactive and published by Interplay Entertainment. Released in 1996, Reloaded is a sequel to the 1995 PlayStation game Loaded. The original game was a blood-soaked top-down shooter similar in gameplay to classics like Robotron. Reloaded builds from the same foundation while addressing some of the original game's flaws. Unfortunately, it introduces a host of new ones. Reloaded takes place in more open environments, but that also takes away some of Loaded's franticness. It's a far brighter and more colorful game, as well, but the game's tone and locations are also less sinister. Reloaded features improved presentation, including cut scenes, text briefings and a comic-styled character selection screen. The game's characters are as sadistic and wacky as they were in Loaded, and the game is just as comically violent and gory. Reloaded features both single-player and local multiplayer play. This video review features video gameplay footage of Reloaded for the PlayStation and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
