One of the biggest superstars of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan is being called as the King Khan yet the superstar claims that it was the fear of poverty, which pushed him to sign more and more films during his initial days as an actor.

At an event in Delhi, SRK candidly admitted that as he comes from a lower-middle class family, he was quite afraid of poverty and failures, especially after his father passed away. Khan further added that he signed up films such as Deewana, Baazigar and Darr, because of his fear of unemployment and poverty, rather than any creative desire. Interestingly, Khan's anti-hero performance in Baazigar and Darr contributed in making him a star.

SRK will be next seen in Farah Khan's Happy New Year, which also stars Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood and Vivaan Shah in their respective roles.
