The Lech Walesa prize, named after the Polish Nobel laureate has been awarded to Kremlin critic Mikhail Khordorkovsky.

The award was collected by Khordorkovsky's son Pavel. The Russian was convicted of money laundering, tax evasion and fraud. His supporters say he was jailed as punishment for challenging President Vladimir Putin which the Kremlin denies.
