Jules from Paris invents a bicycle phone charger system that uses a dynamo attached to a bike and allows cyclists around the world to recharge their phones via their own leg power.

Not bad the arm, not bad!
I don't do things halfway!
I will let you close the door

OK
You can't do anything anymore.
It doesn't stop me from thinking though.
That's a good thing for once.

What have you been thinking about?
As you know I love cycling. And I spend my life on my phone, cycling and taking pictures so my battery always runs down. So I'm going to show you what I've done: I've tried to invent a system that allows me to charge my phone with the strength of my legs.

I had several ideas.
My first idea was to use small turbines that would be attached to your handlebars with your phone in the middle. The strentgh of the wind sends electricity that allows you to charge your phone. But the only turbines I could find were too big and not good enough.

After I abandoned that idea, I had the idea of a solar captor. But I needed a really large one because a small one wasn't enough to recharge my phone.

So I went back to my first idea of a dynamo. In principle, the dynamo is a thing that is stuck on a bike. The idea would be to recharge the phone with it. For the moment I've made a prototype, not very pretty but it works. So I just take out my phone, plug it into my handlebars and as soon as I start to pedal,it starts charging.

That's not stupid!
Well no it's not stupid!

Have you told people about it?

For the moment it's my own project.

The idea would be to design a small object that fits in your pocket that everyone can use. For the moment I created it for my bike, but I think about my wife and neighbours, who have different bikes. It can also work in other countries. You never find the right plugs. With this, you can rent a bike abroad, plug in your phone and it is always charged, it's wonderful!

That's good!
Yeah, it's good!

I would be the first one to buy it!
I can't wait to have it in my pocket!

Thanks Jules!
You're welcome!
