A man wearing a mask of U.S. Barack Obama robbed a bank in New Hampshire, making off with an undisclosed amount of money before he was caught by police.

The man, identified as 52-year-old John Griffin Jr. walked into a Bank of America dressed in a suit jacket, tie and Barack Obama and demanded that the teller fill up a blue bag her was carrying with money.

Police told the local media that they were able to determine what direction the robber left, and an officer spotted a man matching the robber's physical description coming from behind a nearby building within 15 minutes of the robbery, adding that he was in possession of a semi-automatic pistol at the time of his arrest.

"It was probably within five minutes or so from the bank robbery getting called in to our officers deploying to the area," said Scott Park, a detective with the Merrimack Police Department, told WMUR, New Hampshire.

"[Officers] came upon the individual exiting the wood line with a bag and the description that had been given by bank personnel."

He was later arraigned and ordered held on $75,000 cash bail.
