Orlando police officer shatters student's window with bare hands during traffic stop

An Orlando, Florida-area police officer has come under investigation after shattering the car window of a University of Central Florida (UCF) student with his bare hands.

In what began as a routine traffic stop, Victoria King was pulled over on September 4 on the university's campus for a broken brake light.

Video footage from police officer Timothy Isaac's lapel camera released by the UCF Police Department shows King refusing to roll down her window when asked to do so multiple times by the officer.

The officer then asked the 26-year-old to step out of the vehicle. King, who also recorded the incident on her iPhone, however, questioned the officer's authority and demanded the officer cite which law stipulated that she comply with his orders.

The officer next put his hands on the window and, he claims, was forced to shatter it after King started to roll it up.

"I forcefully pulled my arm back and broke the window due to the defendant's blatant disregard to all of the orders that were given to her and her attempt to close the window on my arm," wrote Isaacs in the arrest report, according to the Orlando Sentinel.

The footage shows King telling the officer she was having a miscarriage. A medic arrived at the scene after she was restrained, but, according to a report on Live Leak, King revealed she did not know with complete certainty whether she was pregnant or not. She refused transport to a hospital.

King has since filed a formal complaint and the officer in question, Timothy Isaacs, is currently under investigation.
