After film maker Ram Gopal Varma getting grilled by the Income Tax department for alleged tax evasion a few weeks ago, it is now the turn of film actor Vivek Oberoi. The IT department has sent notice to the 'Grand Masti' actor whose accounts have come under the scanner of the hawk eyed taxmen of India recently.
Reportedly, the Mumbai Service Tax department has slapped a recovery notice of a staggering amount of Rs 40 lacs to Vivek Oberoi. But this is not the first time that the IT department has sent the notice to Vivek. The Service Tax Department had already sent two notices to Vivek earlier but in vain.
It seems that Bollywood's setting an example for the people in India has gone down the drain. Hope the actors now will get a wake-up call to keep their image clean.
