Congress President and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi laid the foundation for a Rs 37,229 crore refinery-cum-petrochemical complex, a joint project of Hindustan Petroleum Corp Ltd (HPCL) and the Rajasthan government, at Pachpadra in Barmer district in Rajasthan. “We still have people who suffer from malnutrition and poverty. We, therefore, got the Food Security Bill passed in the Parliament by which more than 80 crore people, both in rural and urban areas, will be benefitted” said Sonia Gandhi.
