Swiss vote to keep military conscription

Switzerland has voted to keep its mandatory military service.

73 percent of people were in favour of keeping it, despite a campaign to make military service voluntary.

Swiss men aged between 18 and 34 have to do 18-21 weeks training followed by yearly refresher courses.

Many European countries have scrapped their military conscription.
