Beijing residents back Bo jailing

Disgraced politician Bo Xilai leaves court in the Chinese city of Jinan after learning his fate on Sunday.

He's been found guilty of bribery, corruption and abuse of power.

He's been jailed for life.

The court also ordered the seizure of his personal assets.

Among Beijing's residents there was little sympathy for the one-time rising star in China's leadership circles.

"I think it's about what I predicted, or at least a little easier. I thought he might be sentenced to death. But this a little more lenient. At least it shows that his example serves as a signal for other high officials, that their own cases will be weighed by the law."
