As if owning a standard Lamborghini wasn’t luxurious enough, the upscale car manufacturer recently unveiled a jaw dropping model comprised of pure gold and gems.
Although the current vehicle on display at a showroom in Dubai is a prototype, the real one is scheduled for production. The car will be carved out a giant block of gold which weighs roughly 1,100 pounds.
The Lamborghini Aventador will eventually be placed up for auction with a starting price tag of $7.5 million. The company claimed $650,000 out of the final selling amount will go to charity.
The gold along with the precious gems which will be used to decorate and accentuate the car are valued at over $2.5 million. (1,3,1) Even though the vehicle is not made for the road, there are a few highlights to buying the model car.
The gold Aventador has reportedly been submitted to Guinness World Records in 3 categories, for the most secure showcase, the most luxurious logo and the most expensive model car.
