The UN chemical weapons inspection team will return to Syria next week, UN disarmament chief Angela Kane has confirmed to Al Jazeera.
The team are preparing for the trip after President Bashar al-Assad vowed to sign up to the chemical weapons convention.
Russia has criticised the team's report on the August 21 gas attack in Damascus for being one-sided.
However, the inspectors told Al Jazeera they are confident that the report's findings are fair and accurate.
Al Jazeera's Tim Friend reports from the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons in The Hague.
