The television industry is getting ready to honour its brightest and best shows at the 65th Primetime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles.
Among the contenders for the top drama trophy are AMC's Breaking Bad and Mad Men, Showtime's Homeland, Netflix's House of Cards and the PBS British period drama Downton Abbey.
HBO has earned its most nominations for 13 straight years, and will also compete for best drama with fantasy series 'Games of Thrones;
In all HBO collcted 108 nominations, more than twice as many as its closest competitors, CBS and NBC, with 53 each.
Its TV movie Behind the Candelabra, starring Michael Douglas, faces off with FX horror mini-series American Horror Story: Asylum in the miniseries and movie category.
