Kerry Washington, the "Django Unchained" actress, currently starring in US TV show "Scandal" has been named the "World's Best Dressed Woman" by US publication People magazine.
Other stars making the best dressed list included Oscar winning Jennifer Lawrence for her high fashion style, Jessica Chastain for her red carpet looks and Solange Knowles for her risk-taking.
"Star Trek" actress Zoe Saldana was given the honour of having the best denim style, Kate Bosworth was awarded best street style, while Lily Collins, the only non-North American making the list, got a nod for her up-and-coming style.
But while some fashion was applauded, others like Sarah Jessica Parker's punk headdress at the Met Ball in New York, and Michelle Obama's fringe were deemed 'fashion mistakes'.
