Diplomats from the five permanent members of the United Nations- U.S., Russia, Britian, France and China- met in New York Tuesday to discuss a draft resolution on how to rid Syria of it's chemical weapons.
The group left after an hour of dicussions and decided to meet again later Wednesday.
This week and next the United Nations General Assembly will meet - with a political solution to the ongoing civil war in Syria high on the agenda.
A U.N. report released Monday confirmed that chemical weapons had been used on a Damascus suburb- but it didn't say who had used them.
In Russia, foreign ministers from two of the P5 countries spoke to reporters about the report's findings.
