ROUGH CUT- NO REPORTER NARRATION

Britain's Prince Harry woke up bitterly cold after spending the night in a giant freezer with temperatures of minus 35 degrees Celsius, and wind speeds of 45 miles per hour.

He and his injured British and America veteran team-mates were in training for a trek to the South Pole in November for the charity Walking With The Wounded.

Harry is a patron of the charity and each of his four teammates have amputated limbs after serving in Afghanistan.

The 29-year-old royal and the former soldiers will trek 200-miles across Antarctica in a race that is expected to take around 15 days.

Emerging from the giant freezer at the facility in Nuneaton, England, Harry warmed up with a cup of tea and a biscuit.

Two years ago Harry took part in a Walking With The Wounded North Pole trek for five days, but he had to pull out early to attend his brother, Prince William's, wedding to Kate Middleton.
