Federico Fellini (January 20, 1920 – October 31, 1993) was an italian film director and scriptwriter. Known for a distinct style that blends fantasy and baroque images, he is considered one of the most influential filmmakers of the 20th century…(A Wiki article).
He worked with the most famous actors/actresses of the time from all around the world: italian, french, american. Among others: Marcello Mastroianni, Anna Magnani, Alberto Sordi, Sophia Loren, Claudia Cardinale, Sandra Milo, Anouk Aimee, Anthony Quinn, Richard Basehart…and, of course, his lifetime companion and wife, Giulietta Masina…
Out of a large filmography, I have chosen the stills to only 4 films of director's earlier period to make this little tribute (La Strada (The Road) (1954), Le Notti Di Cabiria (Nights Of Cabiria) (1957), La Dolce Vita (Sweet Life) (1960), 8 1/2 (1963)…
There are numerous critical articles and books dedicated to Fellini's work.
