South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley recently began her morning like always, getting her children ready for school. She stepped outside to help get the kids on their way but when she turned around the door was shut and she was locked out.

She posted on Facebook on a Wednesday morning noting "What not to do. Getting locked out of the Governor's mansion in your robe while sending the kids off to school.”

By Wednesday night, the post had received nearly 4,500 likes and over 500 comments. Luckily she wasn’t left outside for long.

According to Haley’s communications director, Doug Mayer, the mayor was only out for a few minutes, until her daughter let her back inside the mansion. Most people found the situation funny, with many Facebookers relating to the ordeal.

However with Haley running for re-election in 2014, the South Carolina Democratic Party found it to be the perfect time to criticize.

The opposing party released an email which noted “File this under Fake Transparency, because it certainly is telling about Nikki Haley's priorities when it comes to sharing information with the people of South Carolina.”
