New interrogation tapes show Cleveland kidnapper Ariel Castro almost got caught years before his three victims escaped. Back in 2002, an ex-girlfriend of Castro almost walked into the room where Michelle Knight was being held. Castro also admits he called Amanda Berry’s mom to let her know her daughter was alive. Castro hanged himself Wednesday while in protective custody after serving 30 days in prison.
