A 92-year-old man accused of shooting a Dutch resistance fighter in the back when he was a member of the Waffen SS during WWII has gone on trial in Germany. Siert Bruins was already sentenced in 1980 by the same court in Hagen to seven years for being an accessory to the murder of two Jewish brothers in 1945.
