Residents were evacuated from Shangluo village in China's Guangdong Province after heavy rain triggered flooding on Thursday (August 29), state media reported.
China's state broadcaster, CCTV showed footage of an old house collapsing in the flood water.
The rain caused a river in the village to swell and also flooded fields in low-lying areas, CCTV reported.
Some farm animals were washed away due to the flooding, CCTV said.
Over 100 people have been killed and millions affected across China as a result of recent floods.
