Nevermind the threats; tourists flock to Golan Heights

It might not look like a tourist site.

Nevermind that earlier this week the Israeli army raised the alert level in the occupied Golan Heights that borders Syria.

Tourists are showing no fear.

(SOUNDBITE) (English) DAVID ZOHAR, VISITOR FROM TEL AVIV, SAYING:

"I am not concerned at all. It is a beautiful place here, good weather I feel very very relaxed here and no problem at all."

One man says there are not enough rooms to go around

(SOUNDBITE) (Hebrew) SHEFI MOR HEAD OF MAROM GOLAN TOURISM:

"People are coming here for vacation, to have fun -- we are fully booked. If I had another forty rooms I would rent those out too. There are phone calls, people are interested, asking, checking what the policy is regarding cancellation if and when there is war and we answer that if and when that happens we will deal with it."
