In December of 2012, a 44-year-old woman, Yvonne Crawford walked into a police station located in Edinburgh, Scotland. She had blood on her hands and freely admitted to trying to murder a disabled man, telling officers, "The Devil made me do it".

Crawford revealed the name and address of her victim. Cops immediately went to the home of Richard O'Rourke. The amputee answered the door when officers arrived. He was sitting in a wheelchair, completely covered in blood.

O’Rourke’s stomach had been punctured and he reportedly had wounds to his face and head.An ambulance arrived to take the victim to the hospital. He survived the ordeal and did not require surgery.

Crawford soon admitted to hitting O’Rourke with a bottle and stabbing him with a knife. The female suspect talked to a detective stating “Jesus was telling me to stab the cat. I've got voices in my head, I'm the chosen one.”

The case recently made it to court. The judge is waiting for reports from psychiatrists to legally decide on her state of mind.

Prior to the horrific incident, she was prescribed anti-depressant and anti-psychotic medication, but she stopped taking the pills three weeks before the attack.
