STORY: U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry on Monday (August 26), in a forceful statement, said all nations must stand up for accountability on the use of chemical weapons in Syria.
The information so far, including videos and accounts from the ground, indicate "that chemical weapons were used in Syria. Moreover, we know that the Syrian regime maintains custody of these chemical weapons," Kerry said.
Kerry said consultations have been taking place between the Administration and members of Congress as well as leaders of U.S. allies and that the president will make an "informed decision about how to respond to this indiscriminate use of chemical weapons."
