It covers Indian history, civilization, language and philosophy,architecture, art, music and dance,medicine, sciences and social institutions and religion, spirituality and the role of Hindu women, and it is the culmination of a 25 year academic effort. The encyclopedia of Hinduism is written in English and it includes about 7,000 articles on Hinduism and its practices.
