The storm over the controversial VHP yatra in Uttar Pradesh refuses to die down with Congress backing the Akhilesh government's decision to ban the yatra and Samajwadi Party taking a dig at the BJP, claiming that they will not let Uttar Pradesh become another Gujarat. Now, BSP chief Mayawati has lashed out at both VHP and and SP, calling it a poll plank aimed at polarising votes in the state. Meanwhile,the VHP remains adamant and has said that it will continue with the yatra.
