Wall Street was mixed on Tuesday, as investors wait for the Fed’s latest minutes from the FOMC’s July meeting released on Wednesday afternoon.

After the bell on Tuesday, Analog Devices Inc. (NASDAQ: ADI) reported fiscal third quarter earnings of 57 cents per share excluding items on revenue of $674 million, compared with Wall Street estimates of 54 cents per share on  revenue of $671.8 million.

For the current fiscal fourth-quarter, the chip maker expects earnings of 55 cents to 61 cents per share, and revenue of $675 million to $700 million.

On Tuesday, shares of Analog Devices Inc. fell 2.61 percent to $46.60 in after-hours trading.

Intuit Inc. (NASDAQ: INTU) issued EPS for the fiscal fourth quarter in line with Wall Street estimates while revenue beat. The software company reported adjusted earnings per share of 0 cents on revenue of $634 million.

For the current quarter, the maker of Quicken and TurboTax financial software sees a first-quarter loss of 10 cents to 11 cents per share on revenue of $595 million to $605 million.

Shares of Intuit Inc. edged down 0.38 percent to $62.90 after the bell.

La-Z-Boy Incorporated (NYSE: LZB) posted first quarter earnings of 18 cents per share on revenue of $318 million, compared with analysts’ earnings expectations for 15 cents per share on revenue of $323 million, according to analysts polled by Reuters.

Shares of La-Z-Boy Incorporated rose 1.22 percent to $21.50 in extended-hours trading.

On the earnings calendar for Wednesday, Lowe's Companies Inc. (NYSE:LOW), Hewlett-Packard Company (NYSE:HPQ), American Eagle Outfitters (NYSE:AEO), Target Corporation (NYSE:TGT), Toll Brothers Inc (NYSE:TOL), Staples Inc. (NASDAQ:SPLS), L Brands Inc (NYSE:LTD) are among notable companies reporting quarterly earnings results.

The Dow Jones industrial average fell 7.75 points or 0.05 percent, to close at 15,002.99. The S&P 500 gained 6.29 points or 0.38 percent, to end at 1,652.35. The Nasdaq Composite added 24.504 points or 0.68 percent, to finish at 3,613.59.
