Professor Molan talks about the widespread and growing use of Manuka honey in wound care. He says this is particularly true in Britain where these products are recognised and approved for use by the healthcare system.
While Manuka honey wound dressings are often used as a last resort when nothing else is working, Molan explains that due to their effectiveness, practitioners start using them more frequently. Patients, he says, are very receptive to using honey dressings.

Professor Peter Molan, PhD. is Professor of Biochemistry and Director of the Honey Research Unit University of Waikato, Hamilton, New Zealand.
