You never know what you might come across while bar hopping. Recently, drinkers in Scott, Louisiana got to witness a bizarre scene.
A bar patron, 26-year-old James Rene Mouton was arrested after he allegedly rode into a bar on his horse and later roped a male customer. The establishment is ironically called the Cowboy’s Saloon.
According to police, Mouton took his horse to the bar but left the animal safely contained in his trailer in the parking lot. He walked into the nightclub on his own at first, however after a few drinks, he went outside and freed his equine companion. He then rode it inside the establishment.
A fellow customer escorted Mouton and his horse back outside. That’s when Mouton roped a 47-year-old patron and dragged him around the parking lot, all while riding his horse.
After the odd incident, Mouton rode to his parents’ house and walked back to the saloon. Police soon arrested him and according to the report, he threatened to get revenge on off-duty cops.
Mouton was charged with disturbing the peace along with second degree battery, retaliation and public intimidation.
