One family in Florida was involved in a chaotic, violent battle. Police were recently sent to a home in St. Cloud after an argument escalated to the point where a father stabbed his own adult daughter with a sword.
Police were recently sent to a home in St. Cloud, Florida after an argument escalated to the point where a father stabbed his own adult daughter with a sword. 74-year-old Isabel Rego was ecstatic that her granddaughter and 4-year-old great-grandson were coming to town for a visit.
But there was a problem. Rego’s middle aged son, Juan Javier Lovine who lived in the same house, had an ongoing conflict with his daughter and when she arrived, the two could not hide their animosity towards one another.
During the fight, Lovine allegedly pushed his daughter into the wall and struck her. The woman reportedly punched her angry father in the eye in self-defense.
That act enraged Lovine and he grabbed a 5- foot long sword from his private collection. The sword went through his daughter’s forearm and punctured her chest cavity.
Police arrived and both father and daughter were taken to the hospital. The female is expected to make a full recovery, while Lovine was treated for an eye injury.
Lovine is facing a slew of charges including attempted murder and domestic violence.
