Some neighbors just can’t seem to get along and resort to all sorts of creative methods in order to express their frustration. A man in South Carolina, 34-year-old Christopher Brannon has been charged with malicious damage after he allegedly rubbed buttered toast on his neighbor’s SUV.

According to the police report, the female victim looked outside and witnessed her neighbor wiping the back windshield of her car in what she thought was a cleaning motion. However, she later conducted a close-up inspection and realized her windshield contained a greasy film.

She also noticed a piece of buttered toast lying on the ground in close proximity to her vehicle. The police were called and responded to the scene. Brannon was quickly arrested and charged.

He was later released from jail on a personal recognizance bond. While it remains unknown if Brannon has yet to acquire an attorney, he probably won’t be facing serious legal repercussions.

The damage to the SUV was minimal, estimated to be approximately $1. Law enforcement did not release a motive for Brannon’s bizarre, non-neighborly act.
