After Telangana, the clamour for smaller states grows. The Bodoland territorial council on Friday (August 2) held protests for a new state comprising of the Bodo tribe dominated areas of Assam. A twelve hour long railway blockade was organized by the all Bodo students union in demand of separate state of Bodoland. All trains to Assam have been halted.
