Me playing the organ at St Charles Catholic Church in the Kelvinside area of Glasgow.
The church was built in 1959 and has stunning period architecture and equally stunning acoustics. The organ was built for the new church by the John Compton Organ Company Ltd and is the electrone model 357 installed on the rear gallery. Like many churches nowadays, there is no regular organist and I was amazed to discover that the organ had not been played for at least twelve years but yet sounded so good! The specification reads:
