Pulling out the entrails and otherwise dressing up a goat at a high altitude camp in the Himalaya (en route Lamkhaga, in the Jallandhri Garh), above Harsil valley. Nepalese and Garhwali porters clean out the goat in time for dinner-time. Meat on hoof!
Suddenly, the old Garhwali song 'Beru pako' is given new meaning as 'bheru paako' and the porters eat and make merry, around the bonfire, at this high camp, before the final attempt on Lamkhaga pass that takes the group potentially into Himachal Pradesh.
No part of the goat gets wasted - everything is consumed is some fashion or the other.
