There are way too many abuse stories about animals. Fortunately, some have happy endings.
Earlier this year, in May, five puppies, which were only several days old, were found abandoned in a trash can in Highlands Ranch, Colorado.
Thankfully, they were rescued, but one of pups passed away. The four survivors were nursed back to life and three were placed in foster homes, where they have been getting attention and enjoying the ease being a puppy for the past nine weeks.
The Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region recently held a special adoption for the pups, giving them a chance to hang out with their forever families before heading home. The adorable and tiny dogs named Lilo, Bridgette and Gus-Gus will be going to separate homes in the Colorado state.
The fourth puppy, named Brutus will meet his new family soon. The people who were going to take him in realized they weren’t quite ready for a puppy.
It won’t take long to find him another home, as there were over 60 applicants who came forward hoping to adopt one of the dogs.
