It's sometimes hard to tell if one is drunk enough to stay away from the steering wheel. But there’s no fooling a technology-ridden urinal.
A popular nightclub in Singapore has partnered with the marketing agency, DDB Group to create the "pee analyzer". It is essentially a toilet that tests urine for alcohol levels.
The system doesn’t just involve the urinals. Club-goers who arrive by car receive a radio frequency identification device tag, which also works as parking pass. Patrons then go inside the club and enjoy the drinks.
However, running to the bathroom is inevitable when consuming large amounts of booze. Once the patron uses the urinal, technology examines their alcohol levels.
If the reading comes back over the legal limit, a warning message flashes above the toilet which reads ‘You’ve had one too many. Call a cab or use our drive home service.’
Once the drinker tries to leave, a valet scans the tag to see if the driver measured too high while using the urinal.
The patron will then be given options to take alternate forms of transportation home.
