Governor opens reconstructed Shahrah-e-Quaideen

Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan inaugurated Shahrah-e-Quaideen after its reconstruction, A sum of Rs 42 million incurred on its construction with four lanes each of 48 feet on both sides of this road. On this occasion Provincial Health Minister Dr Sagheer Ahmed, Administrator Karachi Muhammad Hussain Syed, Director General Technical Service Altaf G Memon, Director General Parks Niaz Soomro, Project Director Manzoor Barni, Chief Engineer Shahab Anwar and other high officials were present. The administrator informed that service roads on both sides of the road were also reconstructed and police complain centre “15” and other barricades were removed. The installation of pedestrian bridge on Shahrah-e-Quaideen was also being started to facilitate the citizens whereas along with strengthen the walls of nullah RCC covering work had been completed. Syed said that high quality standard and requirements of next 20 years in construction of this road was considered so that after construction this could become one of the widest and attractive roads in the city since traffic pressure on this central road was very high. He said that Shahrah-e-Quaideen was an important road as national and international important dignitaries use this way as access to Mazar-e-Quaid whereas thousands of vehicles pass through this road as well. This road was constructed 30-32 years ago which had been in broken condition whereas various accidents due to broken safety wall of nullah took place in past, however, after the construction of this road and nullah, the citizens would have much connivance
