Australians greeted news of the birth with a toast.

You know, I love the royal family and I find they're very down to earth and relatable in many ways so, I'm very happy that the royal baby's been born today and it's very exciting."
The 8 lb 6 oz baby was born at 4:24 pm in a London hospital and is third in line to the throne.
